If you do not know who the person on the left is, it is Chris Matthews. Host of ‘Hardball with Chris Matthews’ on MSNBC on weeknights. Last night after the State of the Union, Chris said that Obama has done so well helping the racial problems in the world that he, “forgot he was black.” Now Chris, Obama has made a difference somewhat in the racial tension in the world, but to say you forgot he was black is really unforgivable. And the fact that it took your Twitter account buzzing to get you to realize that what you said was racist. Not sure what he was implying, but he made himself look like the annoying idiot that he is.
Also, in other news, J.D. Salinger died today as well. My communication arts teacher was obsessed with him last year, even though he is a freak and totally overrated as writer. His ex-wife has come out and said that he drinks his own urine and spoke in tongues. This is the same author who, after writing one of the most successful books of all time, went into hiding for 50 some odd years. Apparently he has been writing the entire time and whatever he has worked on over the years will become available, but who knows. ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ did not do a single thing for me, and I don’t think I will read a sequel if one pops up. Unless Holden dies, that could turn out to be good.
Also, Apple announced yesterday that they are going to start selling the iPad, which is a tablet PC type device in March. The device can surf the web and can also be used as an e-reader. Apparently iBookstore will soon be launching, so people will have to choose between the Sony EReader, Amazon Kindle, Borders E-Book, Barnes and Noble Nook and now Apple’s iPad. I definitely want to get one of these devices eventually, but I am definitely waiting for technology to get a bit better before I spend a few hundred books to read books. If college text books become available for sure, I am sold.
Jacqueline and I want to go to Orlando Studios this spring to see the new Harry Potter World. The probability of that working out with money, schedule and the park being open is very unlikely, but it would still be cool. We got to check out a 3D type map that came in my USA Today. Seems like it will be pretty cool.
Jacqueline is taking a nap, which is why this update is so long and full of news. Back when I had a website I used to do this nonstop for hours and hours on end. Not sure why I stopped that. Probably because I got a job and I am a bit too busy to update it as often as I should. Notice how frequently I update this blog.
Obama’s first State of the Union was last night, and I thought it was pretty good. My dad said it was the best one he has seen in his life, but a lot of people seem to disagree. It is annoying when presidents promise one wonderful thing after another wonderful thing, but never actually deliver. I understand they all have good intentions, but it would be nice if everyone could come together and get some stuff done.
I love CNN, but Rick Sanchez is freaking annoying. I cannot believe this guy has a show. All he does is update the people watching what is happening on Twitter. If anyone actually cared, they would just go on and check it themselves. He is incredibly annoying.
Well I am going to wrap this all up. Now you are updated for the day. So peace out.
